Our first sweater. So naturally, we went all out.

L’Original is knitted in France in a plush, soft, enveloping knit. Beautiful wool, just the right amount of structure, and enough color to make sure it doesn’t go unnoticed.

The fit is comfortable and elegant, without being too well-behaved. The kind of sweater you throw on without thinking — and end up wearing far more often than expected.

Serious about wool. Much less so about everything else.

Composition

100% pure extrafine merino wool, RWS-certified.
Knitted with three strands of yarn for a denser, fuller, more enveloping feel.

Made in France

Knitted and made in Normandy, in a French workshop certified Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant, a label recognizing exceptional craftsmanship.

Made in small batches only, so we can make less, but make it well.

Fit & sizing

Comfortable, slightly relaxed fit.
Choose your usual size.

Care

Merino wool likes to be left alone.

• Hand wash cold
• Use a wool-specific detergent
• Do not use fabric softener
• Do not tumble dry
• Lay flat to dry, away from direct heat
• Store folded rather than on a hanger
• Iron gently if needed

Between washes, simply air out your sweater. Merino wool doesn’t need to be washed very often.
